Epirubicin Hydrochloride Injection is a chemotherapy medication used to treat a variety of cancers. It belongs to a class of drugs known as anthracyclines. Epirubicin Hydrochloride Injection works by interfering with the growth and spread of cancer cells. It is usually given as an intravenous (IV) injection, but may also be taken as a pill or intramuscular (IM) injection. Common side effects of epirubicin hydrochloride injection include nausea, vomiting, hair loss, diarrhea, mouth sores, fever, chills, and low blood cell counts. More serious side effects may include heart problems and low blood sugar.
